Embie Is The First Ever App Specifically Designed To Empower And Support Women Going Through Fertility Treatments.
While going through years of infertility treatments, we noticed fairly quickly that there was a huge hole in the market. There were hundreds of mobile applications to help women who were trying to conceive naturally, but the 20% of the population that is dealing with infertility was forgotten.
At times our community was given sub sections of those general TTC communities, but the truth is we weren’t like them.
Embie believes that women going through fertility treatments should be met with a specific supported experience that allows them to stay organised, track their results and build community.
We understand that knowledge and community can give women power through what may seem – at times – like a hopeless experience.
Let’s face it…
While lab technology has gotten much better since the first successful IVF cycle in 1977, not much has changed with the medical protocol.
Infertility treatments are still done by trial and error, which leads to failed cycles, multiple rounds needed and lots of out of pocket costs for families desperate to have children.
By harnessing data from around the world, we have two main objectives:
Help women advocate for themselves through treatment.
Push infertility treatment research forward and help develop better medications. This in turn will create higher success rates and therefore lower costs.
We know we’ve got big dreams but it has to start somewhere.
For us it starts with Embie, an app made for infertiles by an infertile, with love and lots of science.
